ATHENA PHYTHIAN
About Me
I provide a warm, supportive space where you can feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and emotions. With experience helping people navigate depression, anxiety, loneliness, grief, low self-esteem, relationship issues, and PTSD/trauma, I aim to guide you toward a happier, healthier life. I draw on a variety of evidence-based therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), trauma-focused therapy, and psychoanalytic approaches.
Whether you prefer in-person sessions or telehealth, my goal is to help you achieve positive outcomes and improve your overall well-being. I’m registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency, and I am a member of the Australian Psychological Society. Alongside my psychology training, I hold Graduate Diplomas in Women’s Health and Education, as well as a Master’s in Psychoanalytic Studies, and I’m committed to ongoing professional supervision and development.
As a psychologist, I value the importance of emotional and mental well-being and strive to provide the highest quality care to meet your needs. With a warm, empathetic approach, I support you in enhancing your quality of life, whether you’re navigating personal challenges, relationship issues, or work-related stress.
